# database

5Code Loadouts uses oxmysql and manages its schema for you.

## Automatic setup

On first server start, the script creates all required tables. No manual SQL is needed for a standard install.

## Tables

| Table                    | Purpose                                             |
| ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------- |
| `loadouts_configs` | Stored loadout definitions (units, items, deposits) |
| `loadouts_deployments` | Active and historical deployments per officer |
| `loadouts_activity`      | In-game activity log (deploy / return / emergency)  |
| `loadouts_settings`      | Live settings managed from the in-game UI           |
| `loadouts_grade_units`   | Grade → unit access mapping                         |
| `loadouts_equipment_vip` | Per-equipment VIP overrides                         |

## Optional manual import

If you prefer to provision the schema yourself, the SQL file shipped with the resource can be imported manually before first start. After that, the script will detect existing tables and skip creation.

{% hint style="info" %}
Upgrading from an earlier version? The script checks the schema on boot and adds any new columns automatically. Always back up your database before upgrading.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://5code.gitbook.io/5code-docs/5code-loadouts/getting-started/database.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
